As a work-study intern at Smart during 2007, David started out on the bottom and
soon became irreplaceable. After returning to Staffordshire University and graduating
in 2009, Smart eagerly welcomed him back as a full time employee. His degree is
in Business Management and Entrepreneurship, so there will surely be some interesting
new ideas bouncing about soon.
Although David looks like he's 12 and is loved by every grandmother in the UK, his
kindness, knowledge and helpfulness are appreciated by all that come in contact

Having a degree from the School of Life and over 3 ½ years in the currency industry,
Richard is a no-nonsense kind of guy. With his inborn ability to easily explain
the Smart service, various options available and the latest market information you'll
leave every conversation informed and more knowledgeable. Richard heads up the private
client sales team as well as training new starters and is the first point of call
if there are any queries amongst the client services desk. He also has a wicked
sense of humour!
Although Richards's day job is in currency, by night he co-runs a music promotion
company running successful music nights in London and New York.

Most Smart team members join the company through an employment agency or applying
direct, however Joe was introduced by one of Smart’s most beloved Traders, David
Comber. After hearing about a company that was fun, exciting, and full of energy
Joe asked how he might obtain a position. After an interview and on behalf of David’s
high recommendation, Joe joined Smart in October 2009.
Joe is a genuine, hard-working and well-mannered gentleman. When chivalry and politeness
seem to have disappeared, Joe gives us all hope that there’s still ‘good’ guys out
there. Combine his professionalism with his love for the finance industry and you
find a very passionate and authentic person. Aside from serving Smart Clients, Joe
enjoys playing the drums and motor sport.

After three years attending Loughborough University, Duncan graduated with a degree
in Politics with Criminology and Social Policy. During his studies, he discovered
how influential the political world can be on the financial markets. It didn’t take
long for Duncan to make up his mind to pursue a career in finance. Joining Smart
in September 2009, he is relatively new to the team; however, he has certainly made
his mark!
Duncan is resourceful, professional, and dedicated. He takes his time explaining
the Smart service and is always willing to go the extra mile with his clients. In
his free time, Duncan enjoys playing and watching a wide range of sports.

Manager
Raised in Mumbai, India, Nandita had excellent opportunities to learn about quality
assurance in a phone-based environment - there are a few call centres in India as
we all know! Furthermore, she just finished a course in Masters in Economics and
is responsible for the Smart Feedback/Complaint Response Procedure newly required
from the FSA. Complaints, which are far and few between, are taken very seriously
and are not something we like to receive at Smart - Nandita is always on the case
to not only clear up any issues but to make sure they don't happen again. Additionally,
Nandita manages our compliance department and ensures that new applications are
approved and accounts are opened as quickly as possible.
Nandita is a beautiful person through and through - she really loves people and
brightens the office with her amazing smile.

Starting off his working life as a sail and ski instructor, Alex decided to enjoy
life on the sea during the summer and on the slopes during the winter. He received
a degree from London South Bank University in 2006 and after his exciting jobs in
the tourist industry and a full season of playing rugby in London, he decided it
was time to settle down in and get involved in the finance industry.
Alex is a gentleman - he's kind, easy-to-talk to and knowledgeable about the industry.
His relaxed style is in contrast to his quick mind and his ability to produce solutions

When asking Nick, 'Why do you like to work in the Currency Exchange industry?' he
lights up and explains his passion for the macro side of economics. Nick states,
`it's fascinating that the Government or a bank can make an announcement and the
exchange rates start to move instantly - the market never stops and in order to
keep our clients informed it is important to stay on top of global news and market
analysis'
With a Law degree from Exeter and further legal training at Law School in London,
Nick brings a very detailed and analytic perspective to the team. Aside from assisting
clients to get an outstanding service, he works behind the scenes to read and analyse
market reports relaying them to other Smart team members along with heading up the
customer service training.
In his spare time, Nick plays rugby and holds the highly esteemed Yachtmaster qualification
which he puts into practice racing yachts in the Solent.
