USD: Markets thrill to Fed’s hawkish turn

A sea of bright green on the charts for the US dollar this week as the minutes of the Fed’s latest interest rate meeting showed so little appetite to pause the battle against inflation until they are sure it’s defeated. So it will be all eyes on the personal consumption expenditure (PCE) price index at lunchtime UK time today.
